Since establishing SYNECTICS STUDIO, I have found myself extensively involved in working in the seven subject categories presented here as the KHC Collections. Most of the sample paintings shown are the result of commissions, but others were done for various Gallery showings and invitational events.
One may have already perceived from the details, my 'style' is representational in varying degrees. Consequently, some paintngs have been labeled as illustrations rather than fine art, to which my answer is that the supposed dichotomy between the two forms is an illusion, for the reason best summarized by paraphrasing artist Murray Tinkleman -'Illustration is simply 'fine art' on a deadline'.
